Stew, its easy, if you wanna play Crysis or stuff on best graphics u take sth like 8800GTX or 8800 Ultra (maybe 2 of them :P ) but it costs you over 400€. If you just need a Card for CoD 4 and other new games, 8800GT with 512MB will give you most power for your money ;-) It doesnt cost 350€ like someone said here, you can get one for 250€. Thats a real nice graphic Card that will allow you to play anything that out atm with good performance. But be aware not to buy anything with GTS (8800GTS 320MB or 640MB or the new versions with 512). These are good Graphic Cards too, if got a 8800GTS with 320MB, but they are old and to expensive for their power. 8800GT costs nearly the same or less, they are smaller, they stay cooler, are a bit faster and they also save electricity ;-)

@Bios: These 5000€ Cards are for industrials....graphic designers..dunno Producers.....what so ever, they dont work for PC games.

8800 GS
Prior to the issuance of a series of graphics cards NVIDIA GeForce 9 company is going to surprise fans with yet another fiscal kernel modification popular G92. This time, California manufacturer will issue two versions of GeForce 8800 GS (this often receive the most balanced model). Video uses shader processors 112 and 192 - bit tyre data. Nonstandard tyre affected the amount of memory - Sales appear version with 384 and 768 Mb GDDR3 memory. The version with 768 MB will operate at higher frequencies, but catching up GeForce 8800 GT it is unlikely to succeed. The most attractive in this respect - price. NVIDIA will request $ 170 and $ 205 (for the USA market) for the version with 384 and 768 MB respectively.

Dude you should have checked you motherboards guide first wink You cant really see on the picture if its AGP or PCI-E. Also if we could see that its PCI-E, we couldnt see if its 2.0. PCI-2.0 Cards atleast need a PCI-E 1.1 Bus to work at all. 2.0 just saves some power, but its no performance difference ;-)

I think it IS a PCI-E Bus you have got there, because i can see a PCI-E 1x Bus under you Graphic card ;-)

i have a gforce 7300SE which runs on a PCI-E Bus - i think it's just a case of swapping them around.

He has PCI-E 1.0 that means he cant use any of the new nvidia 8 generation (GT and the new GTS with 256/512MB) without buying a new motherboard.
